Go First Crisis: The difficulties of the airline company Go First are increasing continuously. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) on Monday issued a second notice to low-cost airline GoFirst, directing the airline to stop selling tickets with immediate effect. Let us tell you that GoFirst had already suspended the sale of flight tickets till May 15 after filing the bankruptcy petition last week.

The DGCA has also issued a show cause notice to the Wadia Group-owned airline for failing to continue operating in a safe, efficient and reliable manner. The regulator said that based on the response to the notice, it will decide whether GoFirst should be allowed to operate flights. The airline has been given 15 days to respond to the notice and further decision on continuation of their Air Operators Certificate (AOC) will be taken based on the response given by them, the statement said. The DGCA said in a statement on Monday that GoFirst has been directed to stop booking and selling tickets directly or indirectly with immediate effect and until further orders.

The DGCA has taken this decision in the wake of Go Airlines India Limited’s sudden cancellation of flights under IBC last week and initiation of corporate insolvency resolution process.
