Corona Update: Corona cases are increasing in Kerala. Kerala reported 115 new Covid-19 infections in the last 24 hours, taking the total active cases of the virus in the state to 1,749, according to Union Health Ministry data. Let us tell you that recently, the first case of new sub variant JN.1 of Corona virus (Covid sub variant JN.1) was reported in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. After this, the Central Government also issued an advisory to the states on Monday i.e. 18th December.
According to the ministry’s website, out of the 142 cases reported across the country till 8 am on Tuesday, 115 cases are from Kerala. However, no death due to corona virus has been reported in the state in the last 24 hours. At the same time, the number of people who recovered, were discharged or migrated in the last 24 hours after the infection was detected was 112.
Center issued advisory
Let us tell you that the first case of new sub variant JN.1 of Corona virus (Covid sub variant JN.1) was reported in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. According to the information, the sample of a 79-year-old woman in Kerala was tested by RT-PCR on November 18, which was found infected. At the same time, the woman has already recovered from Covid-19. Now the Central Government has issued an advisory to the states regarding this.
Keeping in mind the upcoming festive season, the central government asked the states to complete public health measures and other arrangements. Along with this, the advisory directed the states to monitor and report cases of influenza-like illness and severe respiratory disease in all health facilities on a regular basis. Apart from this, states were also asked to update details in the health information platform and ensure adequate testing in all districts.
