Donate For Country Campaign: Congress Party is running Donate For Desh campaign for crowdfunding for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Common people including Congress leaders and workers are also actively participating in this campaign. According to media reports, under Congress’s crowdfunding campaign ‘Donate for Desh’, donations worth about Rs 3 crore have been received through more than 1,13,000 contributors in the last 48 hours. Most of the people who donated money to Congress have donated Rs 138. There are 38 people who have donated Rs 1.38 lakh. Apart from this, 626 people donated Rs 13,000 and Rs 680 respectively and the remaining small amount contributions were received. The Congress Party is celebrating its 138th anniversary.

Kharge launches Donate for Desh campaign

Let us tell you that Congress Party’s online donation collection campaign named ‘Donate for Desh’ was launched by Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge. Launching the donation campaign, Mallikarjun Kharge has transferred Rs 1,38,000 online to the party’s account. The leaders who donated Rs 1.38 lakh include Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge along with Congress MPs Rahul Gandhi, Ashok Gehlot, CP Joshi, Niranjan Patnaik, Sushil Kumar Shinde, TS Singh Deo, Jairam Ramesh and Pawan Kheda. According to the information, more than 11 lakh people have visited Donate.in. This site had to face 20 thousand bot attacks.

Bihar and Maharashtra on top

According to reports, the top donors to the campaign include states like Delhi, Maharashtra, Rajasthan. Donations have been received from Maharashtra (Rs 56 lakh), while donations have been received from Rajasthan (Rs 26 lakh), the capital Delhi (Rs 20 lakh), Uttar Pradesh (Rs 19 lakh) and Karnataka (Rs 18 lakh). According to Congress sources, 81 percent of the people who donated have donated through UPI. Statistics also show that maximum donations have been received from Bihar.

Party will send central observers to the states

The Congress party will send central observers to the states to ensure active participation of state leaders to get a boost from the affluent people to create an environment in its favor. Under this campaign, door-to-door campaign will be launched soon to reach at least 10 people per booth in each constituency across the country. For the first time, Congress will ask for money from the general public through QR codes during public rallies. Another interesting thing here is that the Congress Party will also sell items like T-shirts and caps signed by Rahul Gandhi to capitalize on its increased popularity after the Bharat Jodo Yatra.
