Independence Day 2023: PM Modi addressed the nation from the ramparts of the Red Fort on the occasion of 77th Independence Day. During this, PM Modi attacked the corruption and dynasty politics of the Congress. At the same time, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has not attended the program. However, Kharge has fiercely targeted PM Modi by releasing a video on his Twitter handle. He said that some people think that India is developing only in the last few years, but that thinking is wrong.
Kharge attacked the PM
The Congress President, clearly targeting PM Modi, said that every Prime Minister has contributed to the progress of the country. Today some people are trying to say that India has seen progress only in the last few years. Along with Atal Bihari Vajpayee, all the PMs thought about the country and took many steps for development. I am sad to say that today democracy, constitution and autonomous institutions are in grave danger.
Misuse of investigative agencies
Kharge said that new tools are being used to suppress the voice of the opposition. Not only the CBI, ED and Income Tax Department are raiding, but the Election Commission is also being weakened. Opposition MPs are being silenced, suspended, mikes are being turned off and speeches are being deleted. Using one of the key mantras of PM Modi, he said that the policies of Lal Bahadur Shastri and Indira Gandhi have helped India become self-reliant.

Congress President Kharge said that great leaders do not erase the history of the past to create new history. They try to rename everything. He said that the names of the previous schemes have been changed and by becoming dictators, they are ruining democracy. Now they are also changing the names of the old laws which brought peace in the country. Kharge said that first they said ‘Acche Din’, then Naya Bharat, now Amrit Kaal, are they not changing names to hide their failures.
