Chandrayaan-3: When Chandrayaan-3’s Vikram lander and Pragyan rover were put into sleep mode, some of their instruments were instructed to remain awake so that they could receive the messages sent by ISRO. Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) is continuously contacting. However, there is no response yet. ISRO team will keep trying to contact till 6th October, because the sun’s rays will continue to reach the moon only till 6th October.
ISRO gave information
ISRO Chairman S Somnath said that we do not know when it will wake up. It could be tomorrow or it could even be on the last day of the lunar day, but we are trying. If Vikram Lander and Pragyan Rover wake up, it will be a big success. However, scientists are also claiming that as the temperature on the Moon increases, the possibility of contact will increase.
Earlier, Somnath had said that while the rover has been tested to survive in low temperatures, the same has not been done for the Vikram lander. At the same time, scientists also said that before putting Chandrayaan-3’s Vikram and rover in sleep mode, the batteries were fully charged and the solar panels were placed in such a way that they were not exposed to the sun. As soon as he rose, the rays of light reached him. ISRO Telemetry, Tracking and Command Network (ISTRAC) teams started giving commands to revive the equipment.
Vikram-Pragyan will be of great use
While giving information, ISRO had said that during its 14 days of work, the rover had shared pictures of the South Pole of the Moon. Apart from this, sulfur and many other elements were discovered on the moon. ISRO says that the work done by Vikram Lander and Pragyan Rover in the first 14 days is a big achievement and they have also sent a lot of data. Only by analyzing this data will some results be revealed. However, even if Vikram and Paganyan do not wake up, they will remain present on the moon as ambassadors.
