BJP meeting over Karnataka elections, CM will fight from Shiggaon, list of candidates will be released tomorrow

Karnataka Assembly Election 2023 is at its last peak. A meeting of BJP’s Central Election Committee was held today i.e. on 9th April regarding this. The meeting was attended by PM Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, BJP President JP Nadda and several members of the CEC, besides Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai. In today’s meeting, it has been decided that BJP will once again give tickets to about 90 sitting MLAs. At the same time, it is also being told that CM Basavaraj Bommai will contest from Shiggaon assembly seat. Apart from this, Yeddyurappa’s son Vijayendra will contest from Shikarpura assembly seat and CT Ravi will contest from Chikmagalur. Along with this, BJP is also going to release the list of candidates tomorrow.

More than 90 sitting MLAs will get tickets

The most important decision taken in this meeting is that BJP is going to give tickets to most of the sitting MLAs once again. If sources are to be believed, all the seats in Karnataka were discussed in the meeting. Before taking the final decision of the CEC, all the senior BJP leaders have held a meeting regarding the list of probable names. In such a situation, BJP’s effort will be to regain power in Karnataka once again.

Janata Dal released list of 93 candidates

The main opposition party Congress has also released its preliminary list of candidates for the elections. Now the final list of Congress is awaited. The Congress has so far announced candidates for 166 out of the total 224 seats. At the same time, Janata Dal has released the list of 93 candidates. Let us tell you that voting for the assembly elections in Karnataka is going to be held on May 10, while its results will come on May 13. In such a situation, all the parties are trying their best to defeat each other.
