Bengaluru Fire: A fire broke out on the upper floor of a commercial building in Bengaluru’s Koramangala area on Wednesday. At least 6 fire brigade vehicles have reached the spot. According to media reports, a hookah bar and a pub by the name of Mudpipe Café were being run on the roof of the building. The fire spread widely due to the explosion in the cylinder kept in the kitchen of this pub and restaurant.

Fire brigade officer gave information

Giving information on the matter, ADGP of Fire and Rescue Service H Harisekharan said that the fire broke out at around 11.45 am today. Also, he said the restaurant had kept filled cylinders on the upper floor and one of the cylinders leaked and caught fire. Within a few seconds, three-four other cylinders also exploded and the fire spread throughout the building. However, the fire has been controlled to a great extent. He said that a youth trapped in the fire got scared and jumped from the fourth floor. At present, the person is alive and is undergoing treatment in the hospital. Apart from this, two more people have suffered minor injuries in this incident.

Police registered the case

At the same time, the police officer said that the cafe was completely burnt to ashes and the gym named Cult Fit below it also suffered heavy damage. After the explosion, some pieces of the cylinder bounced and fell down, due to which some bikes and cars parked on the ground floor were also damaged. Police have registered a case against the owner of Mudpipe Cafe.
