The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has released the schedule of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 playoffs and finals. The playoffs and final will be played from 23 May to 28 May 2023 in Chennai and Ahmedabad. The Chepauk Stadium in Chennai will host Qualifier 1 and Eliminator on May 23 and 24.

Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium will host Qualifier 2 and IPL 2023 final on May 26 and 28. Qualifier 1 is played between the top two teams in the points table, while Eliminator is played between the third and fourth placed teams. Qualifier 2 will be between the winner of the Eliminator and the loser of Qualifier 1. This will be the second time in a row that Ahmedabad, the home ground of Gujarat Titans, will host the IPL final. The IPL 2022 season saw Qualifier 2 played between Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bangalore before Ahmedabad hosted the final between defending champions Gujarat Titans and Rajasthan on May 29. On the other hand, Chennai will be hosting an IPL playoff game for the first time since 2019.

IPL 2023 Having completed 28 matches so far, 2008 champions Rajasthan Royals are at the top of the points table with four wins from six matches. Lucknow Supergiants are second in the table, they have the same number of points but have a lower net run rate than RR. In the previous day’s match, Chennai defeated Hyderabad by seven wickets. CSK is third in the points table after winning 4 out of 6 matches.

May 24 – Eliminator (Chennai)

May 26 – Qualifier 2 (Ahmedabad)

May 28 – Final (Ahmedabad)
