Ashutosh came to bat in the 9th over of the innings. As soon as he came, he hit a six to Akash Madhwal on the 5th ball. After the match, Mumbai captain Hardik Pandya praised Ashutosh Sharma’s batting. He said that Ashutosh had almost snatched the match from us. Who is Ashutosh Sharma
Ashutosh Sharma is from Ratlam, Madhya Pradesh. He started his cricket career on 12 January 2018 in the Zonal T-20 League. He then made his List A debut for Madhya Pradesh in the Vijay Hazare Trophy on 16 October 2019. In October 2023, he broke the record for the fastest 50 by an Indian player in 11 balls in T20 cricket. After this he was bought by Punjab Kings for IPL 2024 for 20 lakhs. He made his IPL debut on 4 April 2024 against Gujarat Titans. During the match, he was an influential player with an important knock of 31 runs off 17 balls as Punjab gained momentum at the back end of their innings to successfully chase 200 runs.
