He has still not forgotten the way Babar was removed from the captaincy. Therefore, he has clearly told the PCB that if he is made the captain of the team in all three formats, he will return. After Babar left the captaincy of the ODI team, no one has been given this responsibility. Shan Masood is the current Test captain while Shaheen Afridi is handling this responsibility in T20.
Afridi and Shan Masood will be relieved from captaincy
It was under the leadership of Shan Masood that Pakistan played a 3-Test series in Australia. It was almost certain that Shaheen would be stripped of the captaincy of the T20 team. Last Sunday, Mohsin Naqvi did not say anything in the press conference in support of Shaheen Afridi’s captaincy. He had clearly said that any decision on the captaincy will be taken only after the Pakistan team’s ongoing camp with the army is over.
PCB lost confidence in Afridi

Under the captaincy of Shaheen, Pakistan team was able to win only one match of the 5 T20 series on the New Zealand tour. At the same time, he was also a flop under the captaincy of Lahore Qalandars and the team was able to win only 1 out of 10 matches.
PCB in trouble due to Babar’s condition
Babar Azam’s condition has increased the problems for both Shaheen and Shan Masood. Because both of them captained the same series and it would be too early to judge the ability of any player on this basis.
Pakistan has to play 5 T20 series against New Zealand this month and Babar Azam can captain it.
