Terrorist Attack in Pakistan: Another suicide attack has been carried out in the neighboring country Pakistan. A group of suicide terrorists today attacked a police station in Dera Ismail Khan town of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The terrorists entered the police station and opened fire on the police. At least 23 people have died and 10 have been seriously injured in this attack. Tehreek-e-Jihad has claimed responsibility for the attack.
Firing continues with terrorists
The terrorists launched the attack by ramming an explosives-laden vehicle into the main gate of the police station before opening fire with local officials. Pakistani security personnel started retaliatory attack to eliminate the terrorists. The firing between terrorists and police is still going on. There is an atmosphere of fear among the people nearby due to the magnitude of the attack.
Suicide attacks happened earlier also
In November, a group of fidayeen terrorists had attacked Mianwali Air Force Air Base in Pakistan’s Punjab province, similar to Pathankot. 9 Jihadis died in the shootout with the army. Tehreek-e-Jihad had also claimed responsibility for that attack. Earlier, police were targeted in Dera Ismail Khan town. Due to which 5 people died. Let us tell you that this Dera Ismail Khan city is basically a tribal area on the border of Afghanistan. Hardly any law exists here. Which is the birthplace of many Islamic terrorists in other countries including Pakistan.
The province recently suffered another devastating attack when a suicide bomber targeted a mosque in Peshawar in January, killing at least 101 people. To control the situation, the police killed two terrorists after a fierce firing.
