SCO Meeting: Chinese Foreign Minister Chin Gang has arrived in India to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO Summit 2023) conference on May 4 and 5 in Panaji, the capital of Goa. Apart from this, India’s Foreign Minister S Jaishankar and China’s Foreign Minister Chin Gang had a bilateral meeting. In this meeting, LAC and border issues between the two countries were discussed. Let us inform that this is the second bilateral meeting between the leaders of the two countries in the last two months.

During this, India’s Foreign Minister S Jaishankar told Chin Gang that the situation of India-China relations is unusual due to the long-running border dispute in eastern Ladakh. Giving more information in this regard, India’s Foreign Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar tweeted that there was a detailed discussion on our bilateral relations with China’s State Counselor and Foreign Minister Chin Gang. He further wrote in his tweet that our focus is on resolving the remaining issues and ensuring peace in the border areas. Along with this we also discussed SCO, G20 and BRICS.

Let us inform that earlier it was said that the Foreign Minister of China will attend this meeting in a virtual way, but on Tuesday i.e. May 2, the Foreign Ministry of China had said that Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO Summit 2023) Chin Gang will visit India to attend the conference. Significantly, foreign ministers of all SCO members India, China, Pakistan, Russia, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan are physically participating in the meeting.

At the same time, before this, Foreign Minister S Jaishankar had a meeting with General Secretary Zhang Ming in CFM. He himself had tweeted this information as well. During this, he wrote on Twitter that the Indian presidency is committed to a secure SCO. Its major focuses are startups, traditional medicine, youth empowerment, Buddhist heritage and science and technology.
