Khalistani Supporters: Radical Khalistani supporters in Britain have once again committed great audacity. A group of Khalistanis stopped Indian High Commissioner Vikram Doraiswami from visiting a gurudwara in Scotland on Friday. He did not even allow the Indian High Commissioner to get down from the car. A pro-Khalistan activist said that some of them learned that Doraiswami had planned a meeting with the Gurudwara Committee of the Glasgow Gurudwara on Albert Drive.
What did the Khalistani supporter tell?
According to media reports, the Khalistani supporter said that I do not think the Gurdwara Committee is very happy with what happened. But Indian officials are not welcome in any Gurudwara in Britain. He further said that we are fed up with the collusion between UK and India. British Sikhs are being targeted due to recent tensions following the murder of Hardeep Singh Nijjar. It is also related to Avtar Singh Khanda and Jagtar Singh Johal.
A supporter who disrupted the visit said, “We heard that Indian ambassadors were going to come here from London and Edinburgh.” We went to the Gurudwara and had langar and then we came out because we heard that the Indian High Commissioner’s car had arrived. They reached the car park. After this we had a small argument and they turned the car and went back. We did not let him get down from the car.
Jaishankar gave a big statement amid India-Canada dispute
Foreign Minister S Jaishankar, during his visit to America, said that Canada is adopting a lenient attitude towards those terrorists who openly advocate violence. Such people have been given operating space in the country. Along with this, he expressed his concern to America. All his allegations are baseless. India is demanding evidence from Canada.
