G20 Summit 2023: British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has given a big statement on the activities of Khalistanis before coming to India. Giving advice to the Khalistanis, PM Sunak said that Britain is working closely with the Government of India to deal with extremism.

He said that any form of fundamentalism is not acceptable in Britain. The right to protest legally cannot turn into violent or threatening behaviour. Let us tell you that concerns have increased in India about the activities of pro-Khalistani elements in Britain, especially after the attack on the Indian High Commission in London in March. This statement of British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has come before his joining the G-20 in India.

He said extremism of any kind is not acceptable in Britain and I take very seriously the government’s duty to contain and combat violent, divisive ideologies, whatever they may be.

Referring to the G20 Summit, he said India’s scale, diversity and extraordinary successes mean it is the right country at the right time to chair the G20. The UK is certainly here to support India’s efforts in achieving a successful G20 summit.
