FIR Against Pannu: An FIR has been registered in Ahmedabad against terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, founder of the banned organization Sikh for Justice (SFJ). Pannu had threatened to create trouble in the India-Pakistan match to be played at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Gurpatwant Singh Pannu had sent a recorded message saying that PM Modi is responsible for the murder of Hardeep Singh Nijjar and the Sikh for Justice organization will take revenge.

Ahmedabad Cyber Crime DCP Ajit Rajian said that several pre-recorded threatening messages have been posted on various social media handles. Some local people had also contacted Ahmedabad Police complaining of receiving several threatening calls. After this the police took action and registered a case. According to media reports, in his pre-recorded threatening message, Gurpatwant Singh Pannu said that this will not be the beginning of World Cup cricket, but the beginning of Terror Cup.
On NIA radar
Gurpatwant Singh Pannu has been on the radar of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) since 2019. NIA had registered the first case against a Khalistani terrorist. He is spreading terror in Punjab and other places in the country through his threats and intimidation tactics. On February 3, 2021, the NIA special court had issued non-bailable arrest warrant against Gurpatwant Singh Pannun. Also, he was declared a terrorist on November 29 last year.
In recent times, Khalistani terrorists have been in the news for issuing threats to Indian diplomats and government officials on public platforms. Earlier, NIA had seized the property of Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannu in Chandigarh. NIA had taken this action after openly threatening Hindus living in Canada to leave the country. However, he is not desisting from his actions.
