Bangladesh Boat Capsized: Information about a major accident is coming out from Bangladesh. At least four people were killed and several went missing after a boat capsized near Telghat area of Keraniganj on Dhaka’s Buriganga river here. The incident took place around 8:15 pm on Sunday night when a boat traveling from Sadarghat in Dhaka towards Telghat hit a sand dune. According to media reports, three teams of the Fire Brigade Department and a rescue team of the Coast Guard also reached the accident site and carried out rescue operations for the people. Also, the operation is still going on to rescue the people.
Rescue operation continues
According to media reports, there were about 20 people in the boat and out of these about eight people have been saved. However, many people aboard the boat are still missing. Four men, three women and a child are among the eight people rescued from the boat. Among the dead are a woman, two men and a minor boy. The process of transferring the bodies of these people is going on. The identities of these people could not be ascertained immediately.

What did the police officer tell about the accident
Police officer Sahabuddin Kabir said that four bodies have been recovered and the rescue operation is also going on. Also, an eyewitness told that hundreds of people gathered at the accident site. The accident took place at night, so rescue and relief workers were searching for people with the help of flashlights. The police officer also said that the bodies have been brought to the hospital for postmortem.
