Whatsapp will change the setting icon

Whatsapp New Update News: According to a report by WABetaInfo, Whatsapp is working on a new feature. This feature is being rolled out for iOS beta testers. The new feature shows a redesigned WhatsApp Settings menu. At the same time, instead of the setting icon, the profile picture of the user will be visible. The redesign is expected to streamline WhatsApp’s Settings page on both Android and iOS, which are still separate from each other. However, the company is currently running it only on iOS and there is little hope of its arrival on Android.

Let us understand this new setting menu in detail. Earlier the Settings icon was the same as the classic gears icon on both Android and iOS. On opening it the profile appears on the top with the QR code on the right. Then you will get starred messages and linked devices options.

In the next section, you will find options for other settings such as account, privacy, chats, payments, and storage. Then there’s the Help icon and the “Tell a Friend” button, which lets you invite your contacts to WhatsApp. Most of the settings have been rearranged in the new menu. But no change was made in the icon, so that there is no difficulty in identifying it.

The new WhatsApp Settings menu now shows the user’s profile picture along with a QR code toggle. Then there are quick toggles for WhatsApp Status and Profile, Privacy and Contacts. Overall, it’s not a new design but a nice redesign that puts more useful toggles and shortcuts at the top. It looks promising.

However, we can wait for the upcoming new features to be rolled out. WhatsApp has added some neat features recently. WhatsApp recently brought the option of Chat Lock. WhatsApp constantly keeps updating its privacy policy.
