Jimny vs Thar: Maruti Suzuki Jimny and Mahindra Thar will face tough competition this year. There is a lot of discussion going on in the auto world that which of these will prove to be better. Today we will compare the mileage of these two. This comparison is based on the petrol 4WD versions of the Jimny and Thar.
The Maruti Suzuki Jimny is powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine, which generates maximum power of 103bhp and peak torque of 134Nm. Transmission options include 5-speed MT and 4-speed AT. All variants of the SUV get 4WD as standard.
The Jimny Petrol MT 4WD returns a mileage of 16.94 kmpl, while the Jimny Petrol AT 4WD returns a slightly lesser mileage of 16.39 kmpl. Many Mahindra dealerships claimed the mileage of Mahindra Thar Petrol 4WD to be around 13kmpl. The recently launched Maruti Suzuki Jimny is available in Zeta and Alpha trims.
