Alto K10 CNG Launched: Maruti Suzuki, the most successful auto company in the Indian market, has launched the CNG version of its popular car Alto K10 (Alto K10 CNG). Customers were waiting for this car for a long time amid rising rates of petrol and diesel. The car has been introduced in the VXi variant. Maruti has launched the car in the market at an ex-showroom price of Rs 5.94 lakh. The company says that their new Alto K-10 will be helpful in reducing pollution.
The Alto K10 CNG is powered by a K-series 1.0-litre dual-jet, dual-VVT engine that produces 65PS in petrol mode and 57PS in CNG mode and 89Nm in petrol mode and 82Nm in CNG mode of maximum torque. The Alto K10 CNG, mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox, returns a company-claimed mileage of 33.85 km/kg. The new Alto K10 CNG competes directly with other Maruti models such as the Alto 800 CNG (Rs 5.03 lakh) and the S Presso CNG (Rs 5.90 lakh-6.10 lakh).
The design of the Alto K10 CNG is almost identical to the petrol variant, except for the addition of the S-CNG badge at the rear. The 55-litre CNG tank has been placed in the boot of the hatchback, thereby reducing the storage space. No changes have been seen on the interiors of the Alto K10 CNG as well and it gets the same features as the petrol version VXi trim. The car also gets features like 2-Din SmartPlay audio system with Bluetooth, AUX and USB ports, speed-sensing auto door lock, impact-sensing door unlock and gear shift indicator. Safety features include dual airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors and seat belt reminder.
