Bihar Foundation on Friday screened the film ‘Champaran Mutton’ in Delhi in collaboration with New Delhi Film Foundation (NDFF) and Bihar Se…By The Panache. The film, which reached the Oscar semi-finals and will be screened at the Beijing Film Festival (November 17-24), is made by Bihar’s Lal Ranjan Kumar.
This short documentary film was shown on Friday at Bihar Sadan in Dwarka along with the renovation of the restaurant ‘Bihar Se… By The Panache’. Apart from this, a panel discussion was also organized on the topic ‘Role of cinema in building Bihar brand’ regarding this film. So that through this film, the culture of Bihar can be further promoted and the state can be established as a brand.
The event was attended by distinguished dignitaries, special guests and the film’s producer Falak Khan (lead actress) and director Ranjan Kumar. During the screening, Kundan Kumar, Resident and Investment Commissioner of Bihar in Delhi and Bihar Foundation CEO, told the attendees that the event is about positioning Bihar as a brand. So that NRIs can be motivated for branding of Bihar. He said he looks forward to collaborating with various industries and businesses through such events to promote economic growth and prosperity for both our country and our beloved state.
