Rajkumar Kohli Death: Veteran film director Raj Kumar Kohli passed away in Mumbai on Friday. He was 93 years old. He was known for directing hit films like ‘Naagin’ and ‘Jaani Dushman’ in the 70s. If reports are to be believed, the filmmaker suffered a heart attack at 8 am on Friday and died soon after. It is being said that his funeral will take place in the evening. Bollywood is deeply shocked by the demise of Raj Kumar Kohli.

According to the information, Raj Kumar Kohli was also the father of Bollywood actor Armaan Kohli. He was known for his excellent fantasy fiction films. Rajkumar Kohli was born in 1930 and started his journey in films in the 1960s with the film ‘Sapni’ released in 1963 and directed the Punjabi film ‘Dulla Bhatti’ in 1966. After this he achieved moderate successes in Hindi cinema with films like ‘Lootera’ (1970) and ‘Kahaani Hum Sab Ki’. But, he got success with the 1976 multi-starrer superhit ‘Naagin’. After this he made another multistarrer hit Jaani Dushman, which was released in 1979. It was one of India’s first horror hit films.

Kohli’s next career was not as successful, even though he gave some hits like ‘Naukar Biwi Ka’ (1983) and ‘Intekaam’ (1988). He moved away from film making in the 90s and directed only one film after the turn of the century. His last release was ‘Jaani Dushman: Ek Anokhi Kahani’. In which many big stars were seen. The film is reminiscent of his 70s hits with modern VFX.
