India vs New Zealand Semifinal: The first semi-final of the ODI World Cup is being played between India and New Zealand on Wednesday. Two giants of the cricket world, India and New Zealand are facing each other in the first semi-final match of the World Cup at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. In this match, India decided to bat first. Captain Rohit Sharma was out after scoring a quick 47. After this Virat Kohli came to bat.
Virat Kohli survived a close appeal in the first two balls of his innings against New Zealand in the 2023 World Cup semi-final. An in-cutter hit Kohli hard on the pads. On which New Zealand appealed strongly. Even though umpire Richard Illingworth gave it not out, Kane Williamson, after a quick chat with his players, signaled tee. However, Virat Kohli was saved in this DRS, but Anushka Sharma’s reaction was captured on camera.

Thankfully for India, Kohli survived. New Zealand lost DRS in the first leg itself, as a small spike was seen in the ultra-edge as the ball reached the bat. Ball-tracking wasn’t even required. However, Kohli knew that he was safe. The camera immediately turned towards Anushka, who folded her hands and breathed a sigh of relief after Kohli hit a four.
