World Book Fair 2023: World Book Fair started from today, know what is the specialty

World Book Fair 2023:The 31st edition of the World Book Fair (NDWBF) in Delhi has begun today, 25 February. This event will continue till March 5. National Book Trust (NBT) announced the New Delhi World Book Fair. The 9-day Mega Book Fair is being organized by the National Book Trust, an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Education, in association with the India Trade Promotion Organisation.

World Book Fair 2023 Theme

The theme of this year’s World Book Fair 2023 is the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence. The event is dedicated to creating a platform for the people of India that promotes progressive ideas about the political, economic identity and socio-cultural of the society.

World Book Fair 2023 dates: 25 February- 5 March 2023

Time: 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Location: Pragati Maidan, Delhi Nearest Metro Station: Pragati Maidan Metro Station on Blue Line.

World Book Fair 2023: Entry Fee

No entry fee is free for school children, senior citizens and persons with disabilities.

Tickets for the general public are Rs 10 for children and Rs 20 for adults.

World Book Fair 2023: Other details

  • Officials said the Publications Division will showcase its ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ book collection, which will highlight India’s freedom movement and remember the freedom fighters who laid down their lives for the country. The book display will also include titles on subjects such as History, Art and Culture, Gandhian Literature, Land and People, Personalities and Biography, Cinema, Children’s Literature and much more.
  • In addition, specially published by the Publications Division, the fair will offer Rashtrapati Bhavan flagship series of books as well as speeches by Presidents, Vice Presidents and Prime Ministers. The informative collection of titles focuses on providing readers with an in-depth understanding of India’s rich cultural heritage as well as an insight into contemporary issues.
  • Apart from books, major magazines of Vibhag, Yojana, Kurukshetra and Aaj Kal will also be available at the book stall. Popular children’s magazine Bal Bharati will also be a part of the exhibition.
