UGC declared 20 universities fake.
UGC Fake University List: The University Grants Commission i.e. UGC has declared 20 universities of the country as fake. Along with this, the UGC has said that now these universities will not have the right to award degrees. Along with this, let us tell that in the list issued by UGC, the maximum number of 8 colleges are from Delhi, apart from this, 4 universities are included in Uttar Pradesh.
Releasing the list, UGC Secretary Manish Joshi said that there are many universities across the country which were not following the provisions of the UGC Act, the degrees these universities were handing over to the students, are completely opposite to the UGC rules. In such a situation, the degree that these universities will now provide, will neither be valid nor can be used for the purpose of higher education or work.
The list of 8 universities which have been declared in Delhi is as follows. All India Institute of Public and Physical Health Sciences, Vocational University, Indian Institution of Science and Engineering, Vishwakarma Open University for Self-Employment, Commercial University Limited Daryaganj, United Nations University, Spiritual University and ADR-Centric Juridical University.

UP has 4 declared fake universities – Gandhi Hindi Vidyapeeth, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose University (Open University), National University of Electro Complex Homeopathy and Bharatiya Shiksha Parishad. According to UGC, fake universities are also running in Karnataka, Puducherry, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal and Kerala.
Christ New Testament Deemed University in Andhra Pradesh, Bible Open University of India has been declared fake. The Indian Institute of Alternative Medicine and the Institute of Alternative Medicine and Research in West Bengal have been declared fake. On the other hand, Karnataka’s Badganavi government, World Open University Education Society, Kerala’s St. John’s University have been declared fake. Raja Arabic University of Maharashtra, Sri Bodhi Academy of Higher Education of Puducherry are also included in this list of fake universities.
