New Nursing Colleges: Soon the central government is going to give a big gift to the nursing students. In fact, plans are being made to open 157 new nursing colleges across the country. For this, this decision has been taken in the cabinet meeting under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. At the same time, the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs has decided that 157 new Nursing Colleges will be opened across the country. Along with this, 100 nursing seats will be earmarked in each of the colleges. According to this, now students will get a chance on 15,700 additional seats.

This state will have the maximum number of colleges

Be informed that preparations will be made to open new colleges in the co-location of the nursing medical colleges established since 2014. Maximum of 27 new nursing colleges will be opened in Uttar Pradesh. Along with this, 23 new colleges will be opened in Rajasthan and finally 14 new medical nursing colleges in Madhya Pradesh.

Decision taken in view of high demand

In relation to these new colleges, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said that this decision has been taken to meet the increasing demand of workforce in the health sector in the country. Along with this, he said that a target has been set to open 157 new nursing colleges in the next two years and this target will also be achieved.

How many medical colleges are there now

If we talk about medical colleges across the country, then at present there are 5,324 Nursing Medical Colleges. Along with this, plans have been made to open 157 more new medical colleges in the next two years. After this this number will increase to 5481. In fact, tell that a budget of about Rs 1570 crore has been approved for the construction of these colleges. A target of Rs 10 crore has been kept for opening each college.
