In its advisory, the government has also asked teachers and other staff to avoid using phones in places like classrooms, playgrounds, libraries and other places where teaching and learning activities take place. Along with this, the school authority has been told that they can give helpline numbers, where students and parents can call in case of emergency.

While issuing an advisory, Director of Education Himanshu Gupta said that the use of mobile phones has both positive and negative effects on children.
