In such a situation, now the Delhi government has shown strictness by taking cognizance in this matter. The government has asked children studying in private and government schools to make strict rules regarding the use of mobile phones on campus or in class rooms. Along with this, the Education Department of Delhi Government has also issued an important advisory for private and government schools.

In this advisory issued, it has been said that parents should ensure that children do not bring phones to school. Along with this, the government also ordered that if a student brings a phone to school, the school authority should make arrangements to keep it in a locker etc. After school is over, return the phone to the students.

In its advisory, the government has also asked teachers and other staff to avoid using phones in places like classrooms, playgrounds, libraries and other places where teaching and learning activities take place. Along with this, the school authority has been told that they can give helpline numbers, where students and parents can call in case of emergency.

While issuing an advisory, Director of Education Himanshu Gupta said that the use of mobile phones has both positive and negative effects on children.
