Delhi Schools:The Directorate of Education (DoE) has issued a notification on Monday. In which it is said that there should be at least 220 working days in the academic session in the schools of Delhi. This rule has been implemented for all government schools of Delhi.

Delhi Schools: Order of Directorate of Education

The Directorate of Education has ordered all the government and schools under the Directorate of Education in Delhi to complete 220 working days in the academic session 2023-24. The Directorate said that as per the Right to Education (RTE) Act- 2009 and the National Curriculum Framework for School Education 2023, it is mandatory for all schools to complete this working day.

Delhi Schools: Advice to officials

The notification also states that before the start of the academic year and before the observance of holidays, heads of government schools must ensure that 220 working days are completed. For this, the Directorate of Education has also given advice to Sub District Education (DDE) officers. Which states that they should strictly comply with it before sanctioning restricted or local holidays in any school under their jurisdiction. Apart from this, unaided recognized schools will also obtain leave approval from their respective management.
