Delhi Nursery Admission 2024: The admission process in private schools in Delhi for students in Nursery, KG and Class 1 for the academic year 2024-25 is scheduled to begin from Thursday, November 23, 2023, Directorate of Education (DOE) officials said. This year most of the schools will upload the admission form online. Parents can register their child for nursery admission 2024 by visiting the official website of DOE whose address is – edudel.nic.in.
DOE announcement for Delhi Nursery Admission
The admission process will begin from November 23 and the last date for submission of applications is December 15, 2023, DOE said in an announcement. The first list of selected candidates will be released on 12 January 2024 and the admission process will end on 8 March 2024.
DOE instructions for Delhi Nursery Admission
Those candidates who live within one kilometer of Sarvodaya Vidyalaya will be given priority.
If there is no school within one kilometer, then candidates living within three kilometers will be given preference.
Whereas if there is no school within three kilometers then one can apply for the nearby school. In such a situation, it will be the responsibility of the parents for the safe transportation of the child.
As per the DOE notification, the upper age limit has been kept at four years for Nursery (till March 31), five years for KG and six years for Class 1.
These students get priority in Delhi Nursery Admission
Students get reservation as per the rules of nursery admission, in which 25 percent seats are reserved for EWS, DG and Child with Disability categories. This rule is applicable to all private unaided schools which take admission of children in pre school, pre primary and class one.
