Egra Blast: At least nine people were killed and several others injured in an explosion at an illegal firecracker factory in Egra block of East Medinipur district of West Bengal on Tuesday. Taking the matter seriously, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had ordered a departmental inquiry. At the same time, BJP surrounded TMC and said that panchayat elections are coming near, that’s why such explosions are taking place in the state. The CID has detained three people in this case.

After the Mamata Banerjee government handed over the case to the CID, the team went to the spot to investigate. Accused Bhanu Bagh is undergoing treatment in Cuttack. Also, his son and nephew have been taken into custody. According to media reports, Bengal CM Mamta Banerjee had said regarding the incident that we are deeply saddened by the incident. All the injured in this incident have been admitted to the hospital for treatment. Showing seriousness in the matter, said that instructions have been given to CID to investigate it. He has announced a compensation of Rs 2.5 lakh to the kin of the deceased and Rs 1 lakh to the kin of the injured.

BJP surrounded Trinamool Congress

After the explosion in East Medinipur district of West Bengal, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) fiercely attacked the Trinamool Congress and CM Mamata Banerjee. BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari had said that the CM has sacrificed these people. He said that the work of supplying bombs to TMC is done through this firecracker company. Suvendu Adhikari said that the owner of the firecracker factory is Krishnapad Bagh alias Bhanu TMC leader. Not only this, Bengal BJP President Sukant Majumdar had written a letter to Union Home Minister Amit Shah demanding that the matter be investigated by the National Investigation Agency. However, even before the NIA investigation, the CID has taken three people into custody.
