Prasthanam trailer out. Sanjay Dutt tests loyalty of Ali Fazal in new legacy war
The trailer of Sanjay Dutt's upcoming film Prasthanam has been finally released. The film, which is a remake of the Telugu classic of the same name, also stars Ali Fazal, Chunky Panday, Jackie Shroff in pivotal roles.
The trailer of the film shows Sanjay Dutt fighting a group of people and catapulting into a successful politician named Baldev Pratap Singh. The trailer then shows Sanjay's bond with Ali Fazal and how he wants Ali to succeed him as a politician.
The trailer then goes on to introduce characters of Manisha Koirala, Satyajeet Dubey, Chunky Pandey and Jackie Shroff, who is playing Sanjay's yes man in the film. Amyra Dastur is playing Ali Fazal's love interest in the film.
Set in a contemporary political family in Lucknow, Prasthanam deals with complex questions on dharma, morality, desire, right and wrong. The trailer showcases scenes with references to Ramayan and Mahabharat.
Sanjay shared the trailer of the film on his Twitter account. He wrote, "The war to earn the legacy begins... "
Prasthanam is the remake of a Telugu film of the same name. It is directed by Deva Katta, who has written and directed the original film too.
The film is produced by Sanjay's wife Maanayata Dutt. Prasthanam will hit the theatres on September 20, 2019.
