HMD Global has announced that it will be holding an event on September 5 at IFA 2019 in Berlin. This will be the first time HMD will be announcing new products at IFA. The company usually holds its major event at MWC. Earlier this year, HMD launched the Nokia 9 PureView along with Nokia 4.2 and Nokia 3.2 at MWC 2019. At IFA, we expect to see the rumoured Nokia 6.2 and Nokia 7.2 smartphones.

HMD's IFA 2019 invite does not reveal anything about the products the company plans to launch. However, recent rumours all point to new Nokia phones that will be updates to last year's models. After the Nokia 2.2, Nokia 3.2 and Nokia 4.2, it seems highly possible that the company will announceNokia 6.2 and Nokia 7.2 as they have been in the news for a few months now.

Based on what certification listings and reports have told us, the Nokia 6.2 and Nokia 7.2 will look similar to each other with punch-hole displays. One of these phones could be the global version of the Nokia X71.

In addition to hole-punch displays, the Nokia 6.2 and Nokia 7.2 are also expected to come with an upgraded cameras. One of the devices may feature a 48MP camera while another is rumoured to get a triple camera setup that will include a 20MP primary sensor, 8MP ultra wide-angle camera and 5MP depth sensor. The Nokia 6.2 is also said to get a Snapdragon 660 chipset, which would be a significant upgrade over its predecessor.

HMD Global has so far launched the Nokia 2.2, Nokia 3.2, Nokia 4.2 and Nokia 9 PureView in India. The Nokia 9 PureView is the company's flagship smartphone for 2019 touting a penta-camera setup and Snapdragon 845 chipset. It is available in India at Rs 49,999. The other three Nokia phones slot in the budget segment with features like dedicated Google Assistant button and notification LED light embedded in the power button.
