Parliamentary Affairs Minister Prahlad Joshi while giving information on the previous day i.e. 31st August said that a special session of Parliament will run from 18th to 22nd September. Owaisi’s three demands
AIMIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi, while referring to the ongoing rift between India and China over the border dispute, said that the issue of China should be discussed in the special session of Parliament. Owaisi’s second demand is regarding the Rohini Commission report. He has also demanded discussion on this in the special session of Parliament. His third demand is regarding ISRO scientists and Neeraj Chopra.
Discussion on India-China border dispute
Explain that Owaisi, while talking about the speculation about the agenda of the special session and session, told the news agency, “We were demanding a special session from the beginning, because China occupied 2000 sq km of India’s land.” China is not leaving Depsang and Demchok. When the central government is calling a special session, we wish that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would allow a discussion on China.
Owaisi’s second and third demand
On Owaisi’s second demand, he said, Rohini Commission has given its report. Therefore, we demand that the Central Government should bring a bill in the special session so that the limit of 50% reservation can be broken. Making his third demand, he said, ISRO scientists and Neeraj Chopra should be invited to Parliament and honoured.
What did Owaisi say on the fourth demand?
The fourth demand of AIMIM Chief is against the implementation of One Nation, One Election. He said, ‘The speculations whether there will be one nation, one election – this cannot happen. This would be against the Constitution of India. Because, federalism is a part of the basic structure of India. Owaisi said that BJP does not have majority in Rajya Sabha. Also, many opposition ruled states will not accept it. He said that apart from this, our demand is that the Modi government should tell the country from now on when the winter session will be held.
