Difficult journey will be easier now
The temple of Yamunotri Dham is situated at an altitude of about 3300 meters above sea level. Char Dham Yatra starts from here. All tourists and pilgrims have to travel on foot for about 5 km. Due to the high altitude here, the oxygen level is very low. In view of all these problems, the government has proposed to make a ropeway.
