PM Narendra Modi flagged off the first Vande Bharat Express of Uttarakhand.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today inaugurated the Anand Vihar-Dehradun Vande Bharat Express through video conferencing from Delhi. This is the first Vande Bharat Express of Uttarakhand. On the occasion of flagging off Vande Bharat Express, PM Modi said that this train will reduce the travel time of people. The train is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, due to which the journey will be enjoyable. He said that India is being looked upon with great hope and a state like Uttarakhand is a major center of tourism. Vande Bharat Express is going to play an important role in this episode.

PM Narendra Modi said that the work on the Char Dham project with a cost of Rs 12,000 crore is also going on at a fast pace. After the coming of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government in 2014, we have made a lot of changes in the network of Indian Railways. He said that the dream of high-speed trains could be realized only during our government. Electrification of 6000 km of railway lines is being done at a faster rate every year as compared to 600 km before 2014.

Tense on previous governments

PM Modi said that the previous governments were only concerned about familyism and dynasty. Common man was not given much attention in his government, he only made promises and never fulfilled them. However, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government fulfilled all its promises. The previous governments have ignored the network of Indian Railways.

He said that earlier the parties which were in power for a long time did not understand the needs of the country. Their focus was only on doing corruption and they were all confined inside familyism. The PM said that in the five years before 2014, the average rail budget for Uttarakhand was less than Rs 200 crore and this year it is Rs 5000 crore.
