Kedarnath Yatra 2023: If you are planning to visit Kedarnath, then this is important news for you. It is raining and snowing in all the four dhams of Uttarakhand. Kedarnath Dham is covered with snow, but still the number of devotees does not seem to be decreasing. Now an alert has been issued by the Uttarakhand government regarding the weather of Kedarnath.

In view of the possibility of rain and snowfall in the higher Himalayan regions, an alert has been issued by the Meteorological Department for the next 2-3 days. Rudraprayag District Magistrate Mayur Dixit said that an appeal has been made for the safety of the pilgrims coming to Kedarnath Dham. Till the weather is fine, the travelers should stay at one place and travel intermittently, he said. There is continuous snowfall in Kedarnath Dham at this time and the yatra is being controlled. Yatris are not allowed to reach Kedarnath after 10:30 am from Sonprayag.

As per the information received, due to bad weather and snowfall in Kedarnath, the registration of pilgrims has been stopped till tomorrow, 3rd May. The decision regarding registration will be taken considering the weather conditions. Rudraprayag DM Mayur Dixit said, registrations are being done only for Badrinath, Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham at the passenger registration center at Rishikesh. Appealing to all the passengers, he said that all the passengers should take special care of their safety and cooperate with the district administration by following the guidelines issued by the state government and the district administration. Pilgrims start their journey to Kedarnath only when the weather is fine.

According to an official statement, the weather is expected to remain bad in Kedarghati this week. Bad weather is expected in Kedarghati for the next one week. On the alert of the Meteorological Department, the state government has banned the registration of Kedarnath Dham Yatra. Heavy snowfall in Kedarnath has created difficulties for the administration.
