Uppsc topper success story: Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has released the final results of 2023 examination. Siddharth Gupta of Deoband is ranked first and Premshankar Pandey of Prayagraj is ranked second. This time students from ordinary families are dominating the top-5. Siddharth Gupta’s father Rajesh Gupta, who lives in Deoband in Saharanpur district, runs a grocery shop in the village. Mother is a housewife. Siddharth gives credit for his success to his parents. After his initial education from Deoband’s Doon Valley Public School and graduation from Delhi University, Siddharth started preparing for civil services right after graduation. He had passed the PSS exam in 2022. Then he was selected for the post of Naib Tehsildar, but instead of getting a job, he continued his preparation and now topped. One of his sisters is a cardiologist in Delhi and the other sister is a housewife.

Prem Shankar Patel, who secured second rank in UP PSC-2023 examination, is a resident of Prayagraj. His father Narayan Pandey is a bus conductor. After passing Intermediate, he got the job of Air Force Sergeant, but he did not feel like it so he resigned in 2020. He was selected in the recruitment of Review Officer in 2021. Prem wanted to become deputy collector. Therefore, gave UP PCS exam for the first time in 2022. He qualified the main examination and also appeared for the interview but ultimately could not make it to the final merit list. After this he corrected his mistakes and once again took the UP PCS exam and this time he secured second rank in the entire state.

Pawan Patel, who got sixth rank in UP PSC 2023, lives in Patha area adjacent to Chitrakoot, which was once considered to be a dacoit area. Patha’s area is still very backward in terms of development and education, but Pawan did not give up even in adverse circumstances. Battling all the challenges, he not only continued his studies but also wrote a story of change by topping the PSC. Pawan had also passed the PSC exam in 2022. Then he was selected for the post of DSP. His training is going on in Moradabad for the last 6 months. Now he will become Deputy Collector. There is a festive atmosphere in Pawan’s family after the results came.

Nidhi Shukla of Ayodhya has got 8th rank in UP PSC. She has the second rank among girls participants. Nidhi gives credit for her success to her late father Late Santosh Shukla. Told that I have reached here only because of his inspiration. He always wanted to see me as an officer. Now that she has become SDM, her father is no longer among us. Mother Manorama Shukla said, Nidhi has fulfilled her father’s dream. Nidhi’s primary education was from Chhattisgarh. Whereas, Inter Graduate Masters was completed from Ayodhya. This was his second attempt.
