A vicious thief named Harishankar Jaiswal, living in Thana Jhangha area of Gorakhpur, had gone to a hospital in Gorakhpur to get his mother treated. Chor got his mother treated at the hospital located at New Uday Medical Private Limited. His mother stayed in this hospital for a whole week.
Absconded after stealing more than 4.5 lakh rupees
On one hand his mother was undergoing treatment, on the other hand Harishankar was thoroughly gathering information about each and every corner of the hospital. The thief continued to reiki the hospital for a week. After this, when the time came to discharge the mother, the thief paid the bill of about one lakh rupees issued by the hospital and went away with his mother. After this, Harishankar reached the hospital after about two weeks on the night of March 30 and fled after stealing more than Rs 4.5 lakh.
According to media reports, in the past also Harishankar has carried out many theft incidents. Several criminal cases are also registered against Harishankar. The accused is a resident of Jhangha police station area of Gorakhpur. The accused had treated his mother at New Uday Hospital between March 7 and March 14. Meanwhile, the thief did a thorough recce of the hospital’s accounts branch and the way to and fro.
After this, on the evening of March 30, Harishankar entered the hospital with a cap and a jacket. Then the thief hid in the upstairs hall of the hospital. After this, he broke the lock of the account branch during the night and ran away with all the money kept in the cupboard.
