UP: Strike of electricity workers ends, Energy Minister assures to implement all the terms of the agreement

In the country’s largest state Uttar Pradesh, electricity workers were on strike for the past several days. Today on Sunday, the employees have called off the strike. Uttar Pradesh’s Energy Minister AK Sharma has assured to implement all the terms of the agreement signed in December 2022. Due to this the electricity workers have called off the strike. Along with this, the Energy Minister has ordered to withdraw the action taken against the employees during the strike.

Let us tell you that Energy Minister AK Sharma while giving instructions to the Chairman of UPPCL said that all the action taken against the employees, be it FIR, suspension or any other type of action, should be withdrawn soon. After this, the employees have ended their strike obeying the minister. The Energy Minister further said that all issues will be resolved through dialogue. He said that wherever power supply is disrupted in the state, it should be made operational soon.

Appeal to electricity workers to return to work

Significantly, on Saturday, there was a very positive conversation between UP Energy Minister AK Sharma and the Sangharsh Samiti. During this, the Energy Minister had assured to implement the conflict committee agreement. After the assurance of the Energy Minister, the power workers leaders announced to end the strike. The employee leaders appealed to the power workers that all should return to work.

About one lakh electricity workers in UP were on strike for the past several days. Due to this, people were facing a lot of trouble due to the problem of electricity. In such a situation, if this strike continues for a long time, then the problem could have increased further. The Executive Director of the Indian Industry Association said that complaints of electricity have been received from many places including Varanasi, Kanpur.
