UP: A heart-wrenching case has come to light from Sonbhadra. Where a man, in an inebriated state, beat his wife to death with a stick and then slept next to the dead body. Actually, this matter has come from Korchi village of Amwar Chowki in Sonbhadra, Uttar Pradesh. Late in the evening, the drunken husband came home and had an argument with his 45-year-old wife Lalita over some issue. Husband Ram Sahay started beating Lalita with a stick in an inebriated condition. Whereas, the woman died on the spot due to serious injuries.
According to the villagers, Ram Sahay was so drunk that he did not know that his wife ie Lalita had died. He slept with the dead body of his wife throughout the night. After this, when the villagers reached the spot after hearing the commotion, they saw that the accused was sleeping with the deceased wife. The villagers informed the police about this incident. At the same time, the police reached the spot as soon as the information was received, reached the spot on Sunday, took the dead body into custody and sent it for postmortem.
Regarding this matter, Additional SP Tribhuvan Tripathi said that Ram Sahay is addicted to alcohol. He had a quarrel with his wife over some issue on Saturday, on which she beat him to death with a stick. During this, a case has been registered against the accused under relevant sections and arrested. Along with this, the police is interrogating the accused husband in this case.
