Samman Nidhi of Rs. 62 crores given to 189 players: Got GOVT job in UP government after winning medals in Asian and National Games

189 player Govt Job in UP : The Yogi Adityanath government of Uttar Pradesh on Saturday honored 189 outstanding players of the state and gave them appointments on various posts in the police, sports and transport departments. During this, prize money of Rs 62 crore was also handed over to the players. Addressing the felicitation ceremony, Chief Minister Modi said, players are the pride of our country and state. Every countryman feels proud when he performs excellently and wins a medal.

7 gold in Asian Games
16 players from UP participated in the Asian Games. In which 7 have won gold, 9 have won silver and 9 have won bronze medals by performing excellently. 18 players from UP also participated in the Para Asian Games. Of these, 2 gold, 5 silver and 4 bronze medals were won.

Parul Chaudhary of Meerut 4.50 crores, remaining 3-3 crores
Athlete Parul Chaudhary (Meerut) has received the highest amount of Rs 4.50 crore of Khiladi Samman Nidhi. Varanasi’s hockey player Lalit Upadhyay, who won gold medal in the Asian Games, Aligarh’s cricket Rinku Singh, Meerut’s javelin thrower Annu Rani and Agra’s Deepti Sharma, Baghpat’s shooter Akhil Kumar, Kabaddi player Arjun Deshwal have been given Rs 3 crore each. Javelin thrower Praveen Kumar and badminton player IAS Suhas LY, who won the gold medal in the Para Asian Games, also got Rs 3 crore each.

1.5 crore for silver medal, 75 lakh for bronze winner
The state government has given prize money of Rs 3 crore to the gold medalist in the Asian Games, Rs 1.5 crore to the silver medalist and Rs 75 lakh to the bronze medalist. Whereas, other players who participated in these games were given an incentive amount of Rs 5 lakh each. During this period, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also distributed appointment letters for government jobs to the players.
