PM Narendra Modi Bulandshahr Visit Updates:Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be in Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh on Thursday. The Prime Minister will launch development projects worth more than Rs 19,100 crore in this district of Western UP. Along with this, he will also start his campaign for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. BJP has claimed to mobilize 5 lakh people in this rally. Since this rally is taking place just three days after the inauguration of the grand Ram temple in Ayodhya and the consecration of the new Ram Lalla idol there, it is considered very important.

First rally after Ramlala Pran Pratistha
The BJP has already planned two-month-long events focusing on the Ram Temple to mobilize party cadre and supporters for the Lok Sabha elections. State President Bhupendra Chaudhary said, ‘This is Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s first rally in Uttar Pradesh after the consecration of Lord Ram in Ayodhya. BJP has worked hard for the success of the rally. A public relations campaign has been conducted for a fortnight in Western UP.

How is the caste equation of Bulandshahr?
Bulandshahr has a large population of Lodh Rajputs, Jats, Gujjars, Muslims and Dalits. Late former Chief Minister Kalyan Singh had made it his stronghold. After 1991, except in the elections held in 2009, BJP has won Lok Sabha seats continuously. In 2009, Kamlesh Valmiki of Samajwadi Party won the election. In the 2022 assembly elections, BJP won all the seven assembly seats of Bulandshahr – Anupshahr, Dibai, Khurja, Bulandshahr Sadar, Sayana, Shikarpur and Secunderabad.

BJP’s focus on 6 lost seats
The BJP had won eight of the 14 Lok Sabha seats in this part of western Uttar Pradesh in 2019. Now it also wants to regain the remaining seats, which it lost to the Samajwadi Party and Bahujan Samaj Party alliance.

Major Projects
The projects that the Prime Minister will inaugurate and dedicate include a medical college named after former Chief Minister Kalyan Singh, a 173-km double-line electrified section between New Khurja and New Rewari on the dedicated freight corridor.

A four-lane highway connecting Aligarh and Kannauj, Indian Oil’s Tundla- Gawariya pipeline, an integrated township in Greater Noida and other development projects will form the pitch for the BJP’s election campaign in western UP.
