According to Lucknow Meteorological Center, fog will increase in the state on January 5 and 6 and icy winds will blow. It may also rain at some places. In view of this, orange alert is still in force in the state.

Releasing the forecast, IMD said that today the maximum temperature of the capital Lucknow is expected to be 16 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature here may be around 8 degrees Celsius. Apart from this, the minimum temperature in Barabanki, Kanpur City, Kanpur Dehat, Hardoi, Gorakhpur, Ballia, Varanasi, Bahraich, Lakhimpur Kheri and Prayagraj may remain around 7 degree Celsius to 8 degree Celsius.

The Meteorological Department said that there is a forecast of rain in all the districts of Bundelkhand including Chitrakoot, Prayagraj and adjoining Madhya Pradesh.
