UP News: A few days ago, an advocate died in police custody in Gonda district of Uttar Pradesh. In this case, an FIR has been registered against six including the outpost in-charge. At the same time, three policemen were suspended. Police officials have given this information on Saturday. He said that in Gonda district, advocate Rajkumar Lal was detained in a case related to a land scam. During this time the advocate died. Police officials further said that strict action is being taken in this matter.

Police officials told that advocate’s brother Pawan Kumar Srivastava has filed a case regarding this. At the same time, three policemen have been suspended in this case. Let us tell you that in January 2018, a case of criminal conspiracy and cheating was registered by the then tehsildar of the House, Surendra Narayan Tripathi, in a land scam at the Kotwali police station. The advocate was absconding because of this. Last few days ago, Kotwali police arrested the advocate with the help of GRP and brought him to Gonda police station for investigation.
In this case, the police was interrogating the advocate. During this, the advocate consumed toilet cleaner. After this, the police immediately took the advocate to the hospital for treatment. Where the advocate died during treatment. At the same time, the advocate’s brother filed a case questioning the negligence of the police. Acting on this, the police officers have suspended three policemen.
Advocate’s brother Pawan Kumar Srivastava alleged that even though his brother’s condition was critical, the Gonda police did not take him to the hospital, instead he was admitted to the district hospital, where he died. District’s (SSP) SSP said that appropriate action is being taken on the basis of the case.
