Some candidates of the Aam Aadmi Party have also registered victory in the civic elections in Uttar Pradesh, due to which the morale of the party has increased. AAP candidates have won in Moradabad, Bijnor, Amroha, Aligarh, Kaushambi and Ayodhya in the state. Also, AIMIM has also opened its account in Kanpur. Asaduddin Owaisi’s party AIMIM has also opened its account in Kanpur Nagar district. AIMIM party candidate Ghazala Tabassum has won the post of president from Ghatampur municipality seat in the district. Apart from this, Mohammad Anas stood second on the Mayor seat of Meerut Municipal Corporation. He stood first in the initial rounds and gave a tough fight to BJP candidate Harikant Ahulwalia. In the end, Ahulwalia defeated him, but he left the candidates of SP, BSP and Congress far behind. In this way, AIMIM has made a dent in the Muslim vote bank of other parties.
