An acid tank burst due to lightning on Friday in Hindustan Zinc of Chittorgarh district of Rajasthan. One person died and nine people were injured in this incident. All the injured have been referred to Udaipur for treatment.
Additional superintendent of police Kailash Singh Sandhu said that the acid leak occurred due to lightning in the tank at the Hydro Plant of Hindustan Zinc. During this, ten employees present at the spot got scorched.
All the injured employees were immediately rushed to the district hospital in Chittorgarh, where one of them died during treatment. He said that nine others seriously injured in the accident have been referred to Udaipur for treatment. Additional SP said that efforts are being made to identify the deceased.

According to the report, those who have been injured in this incident include Nahar son Dalpat Singh, resident of Det, Neeraj son Jagannath Singh, resident of Chanderia, Kishan son Madhu Gurjar resident of Chausala Parsoli, Manohar son Prithviraj Nai, resident of Jawasia Gangrar, Gopal son Badrilal, resident of Bhairu Singh ji’s Kheda. Bairagi, Abhaypur Ghata resident Satyanarayan son Shankar Das, Praveen son Chiranjeev Jha, Shivrai son Prashant Kumar Rawat resident of Zinc Colony, Shivrai son Prashant Kumar, resident of Chanderia were injured.
