Rajasthan Assembly Election 2023: Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot’s troubles may increase amid the assembly elections. Actually, objection has been lodged on the nomination papers of CM (Ashok Gehlot Nomination). He is accused of hiding the court case in the affidavit. Ashok Gehlot had filed his nomination papers from Sardarpura seat of Jodhpur district on Monday.
According to media reports, a person named Pawan Pareek has filed a complaint against CM Ashok Gehlot in the Election Commission. It has been alleged in the complaint that five cases are pending in the court against Ashok Gehlot. He has given information about only three cases in the affidavit. In which one case has been reported from Delhi and two from Jaipur. There are two more cases against him in Delhi. This complaint has been made online. In the complaint made to the Election Commission, the CM has been accused of deliberately hiding information about criminal cases in the affidavit. At present, the matter is being investigated.
Sardarpura seat is the stronghold of Congress
Sardarpura seat from where Ashok Gehlot has filed nomination papers. That seat is seen as a Congress stronghold. Ashok Gehlot has won from this seat in all elections since 1998. He got 63 percent votes in the 2018 assembly elections.
When are the assembly elections to be held in Rajasthan?
Let us tell you that there are 200 assembly seats in Rajasthan. Voting on these seats will be held on November 25. The results of which will come on December 3. There will be a tough contest between BJP and Congress here. BJP is campaigning heavily to gain power in Rajasthan.
