In Rajasthan, the wives of the soldiers who were martyred in the Pulwama attacks sat on a dharna.

The widows of the three jawans martyred in Pulwama have been sitting on a dharna outside the house of minister Sachin Pilot in Jaipur for almost ten days. These widows alleged that the government had made big promises to us at that time, but the government is not fulfilling these promises. He said that we have been protesting for many days, but the hearing has not taken place. We want to meet any member of the Gandhi family and present our demands. Not only this, they have also made preparations to lay siege to the residence of CM Ashok Gehlot.

According to media reports, Martyr Rohtash Lamba’s wife Manju says that many ministers of the Rajasthan government had come to our village Govindpura-Basdi for my husband’s funeral. My brother-in-law Jitendra Lamba was promised a government job with a promise to build a memorial in the village for my husband who laid down his life for the country. The government could not fulfill that also. He said that we were hopeful that his voice would be heard. Our voice has gone unheard. Now we will gherao the CM’s residence. Also said that he will also meet senior Congress leaders to narrate their grievances.

Let us inform that CM Ashok Gehlot’s government had said on this dharna demonstration that how can the rights of a martyr’s child be taken away. It seemed from the attitude of the Rajasthan government that the demands of the martyrs would be met. However, later the state government ignored this demand. On this, the BJP submitted a memorandum to Governor Kalraj Mishra and said that the government should respect the wives of the martyrs.

MP Kirori Lal supported the demands

BJP’s Rajya Sabha MP Kirori Lal Meena has supported the demands of the widows of the martyrs. She said that she only wants to meet the Chief Minister, but he has not been able to meet her for 10 days. We don’t want the protest to be violent. He said that in the Gujjar movement, members of the 13 deceased families, brother-in-law, nephews etc. were given jobs. He asked that when you can give a job there, then what is the problem in giving it here.

Sachin Pilot also wrote a letter

Former Deputy CM of Rajasthan Sachin Pilot had written a letter to CM Ashok Gehlot urging him to accept the demands of the widows of the martyrs. In his letter, Pilot also strongly criticized the behavior of the police. This is the reason that now the widows of the martyrs have decided to gherao the residence of CM Ashok Gehlot to put pressure on the government. In such a situation, the police and administration are alert. Police have barricaded the road to deal with any untoward situation. At present, the house-demonstration is going on.
