The Central Government has made a major change in the Union Cabinet today. In this connection, Arjun Ram Meghwal has been made the new Law Minister by replacing Kiren Rijiju. At the same time, Kiren Rijiju has been appointed Earth Science Minister. It is believed that this change has been done keeping in mind the Rajasthan elections to be held by the end of this year. Arjun Ram Meghwal was earlier the Minister of Parliamentary Affairs in the Central Government. Apart from this, he was also handling the responsibility of the Minister of State in the Ministry of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises.

According to media reports, the work of the ministers of the Central Government is currently under review and the report of their work was called for recently. After this, this decision has been taken by the Central Government. At present, clear information about the remaining ministries is yet to come. Significantly, the conflict between the government and the judiciary was going on for a long time. Former Law Minister Kiren Rijiju was looking after this ministry for almost 2 years. Often the news of estrangement between him and the judges of the Supreme Court used to make media headlines. Sometimes commenting on the collegium system and sometimes delaying the appointment of judges, he always remained in controversies. Describing the collegium system as opaque, he publicly criticized the judges and made scathing remarks on them. In the year 2021, Ravi Shankar Prasad was also suddenly removed from the post of Law Minister.
