NEET student fake kidnapping case: NEET student Kavya Dhakad, who fabricated a fake story of kidnapping in Kota, Rajasthan and demanded ransom of Rs 30 lakh from her father, was found by the Crime Branch police. On Tuesday, she was recovered from her friend’s room near Index Medical College, ahead of Devguradiya (Khudail). Jyotiraditya Scindia had talked to the CM of Rajasthan in this matter.

Additional DCP Rajesh Dandotia of Indore Crime Branch said that Kavya Dhakad and Harshit have been recovered in the case. Soon both will be handed over to Kota police. These people spent a long time in Amritsar. When the money ran out, we stayed there in the Gurudwara for a few days.

Kidnapping and ransom message on 18th

  • Kavya (20), daughter of Raghuveer Dhakad, resident of Bairad in Shivpuri district, went missing along with her friend Harshit on March 18. His last location was found on Bholaram Ustad Marg in Indore. On March 18, at 3 pm, some photos of Kavya and a message about kidnapping came on her father’s mobile. In the pictures, Kavya’s hands, legs and mouth were tied. There was blood on the face also. A ransom of Rs 30 lakh was demanded from the father.
  • According to the police, on March 20, a CCTV video of a NEET student and her friend had surfaced in Indore. These people had left for Amritsar on the same day and returned 2 days ago and had taken a room on rent in Shivaji Nagar near Devguradiya.
  • After the fake kidnapping, the police was finding Kavya’s location in and around Indore. Teams of Indore Crime Branch and Rajasthan Police were continuously engaged in searching. A reward of Rs 20 thousand was also announced on them.
