Farmers of Punjab and Haryana are rapidly moving towards Delhi to get their demands met. While the Modi government at the Center wants to calm down this movement, the opposition is busy fanning it. This is the reason why many political parties including Congress and Aam Aadmi Party have supported the farmers’ movement. Many leaders of Punjab and Haryana Congress have even made it clear that if the farmers need us, we will also take to the streets and march to Delhi. Since Lok Sabha elections are near, the question arises that which party will get the support of farmers in Haryana and Punjab. Before telling this, let us tell you how the big leaders of Haryana and Punjab have reacted to the farmers’ movement.
Bhupendra Hooda said – Center should agree with the farmers
Former Haryana CM and Congress leader Bhupendra Singh Hooda says that the Center should accept the demands of the farmers. Responding to the farmers’ march to Delhi, he said that the central government should talk to the farmers and discuss their demands. Whatever the farmers are demanding, they should agree on it. At the same time, Bhupendra Hooda’s son and Congress MP Deependra Hooda also supported the farmers. He said that the government should follow the agreement made with the farmers. Farmers are demanding MSP, which is legitimate.

AAP’s Anurag Dhanda also supported the farmers
Aam Aadmi Party leader from Haryana Anurag Dhanda has also supported the farmers. By sharing the video of the clash between the farmers and the police at the Shambhu border, he wrote on Fired shells. He asked the question that why do BJP people have so much hatred for farmers?
Bhagwant Mann’s government is also with the farmers
The Punjab government led by Bhagwant Mann is also with the farmers. Aam Aadmi Party wrote on its social media account that on one hand the central dictatorial and anti-farmer BJP government is making the police barricade and laying stones on the roads to stop the farmers. Bhagwant Mann’s government is not imposing any restrictions on the protesting farmers. AAP government is a government of farmers.

Will Lok Sabha elections be affected?
Only some time is left for the Lok Sabha elections. This is the reason why the Modi government at the Center had started trying to convince the farmers from the very first day. Farmers met twice with three Union Ministers, but remained inconclusive. The last meeting was held on February 12 in Chandigarh. Since the Union Minister could not convince the farmers, the farmers have marched to Delhi. Experts say that even if the farmers’ movement calms down, it is sure to have an impact on the Lok Sabha elections. Especially in Punjab, BJP may have to suffer huge losses.
How much will be the impact on Punjab Lok Sabha elections?
There are 13 Lok Sabha seats in Punjab. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Congress got 8 seats, BJP 2, SAD 2 and Aam Aadmi Party got one seat. BJP and SAD had contested the elections together. In September 2020, SAD had broken the two and a half decade old alliance, but now again talks of alliance between SAD and BJP are coming to the fore. Despite this, BJP may have to face losses because Aam Aadmi Party has become stronger in Punjab. This is the reason why Aam Aadmi Party wants to contest the elections alone. This is why Aam Aadmi Party is openly supporting the farmers.
How much will it affect Haryana Lok Sabha elections?
There are total 10 Lok Sabha seats in Haryana. BJP won all the seats in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. While Haryana Congress wants to regain power, Aam Aadmi Party had also announced that it will field candidates on all the seats. Experts say that farmers of Haryana had participated in large numbers in the last farmer movement. This time the numbers are less, but here too the Lok Sabha elections may be affected. However, looking at the current condition of Congress, it does not seem that it will be able to compete with BJP.
